Summary
The Educational Services & School Liaison Manager serves as the primary resource for NJPNI patients and families requiring support navigating educational services, accommodations, and school-based programs. This position acts as a liaison between families, school districts, Child Study Teams, Boards of Education, and NJPNI providers to ensure that children receive appropriate educational supports and services based on their medical, neurological, developmental, and learning needs.
The Educational Services & School Liaison Manager is also responsible for overseeing NJPNI's Board of Education service contracts, coordinating evaluations and services, managing district relationships, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities
 
Educational Advocacy & Family Support 
  • Serve as the primary educational resource for NJPNI families. 
  • Assist families in understanding special education processes, eligibility requirements, and educational rights. 
  • Provide guidance regarding: 
    • IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) 
    • 504 Plans 
    • Child Study Team evaluations 
    • Classification determinations 
    • Related services 
    • School accommodations and modifications 
  • Review educational records, evaluations, and school documentation. 
  • Help families prepare for Child Study Team meetings, annual reviews, and eligibility meetings. 
  • Assist in translating medical recommendations into educational accommodations and support services
Learning Disability Education

·         Assists in the interpretation of school-based educational testing
·         Supplements school-based educational testing with additional testing to aid in the diagnosis of learning disabilities
·         Educates families regarding the management pathways for learning disabilities

School & Child Study Team Liaison

·         Serve as NJPNI's primary point of contact with school districts and Child Study Teams.
·         Facilitate communication regarding educational concerns, accommodations, and recommendations.
·         Coordinate requests for medical documentation supporting educational services.
·         Participate in meetings with school personnel when appropriate.
·         Assist providers with educational consultation requests.

Board of Education Program Management 
 
·         Manage all NJPNI Board of Education contracts and service agreements. 
·         Coordinate scheduling and delivery of contracted services. 
·         Maintain relationships with district administrators and special services departments. 
·         Monitor contract compliance and service utilization. 
·         Track contract renewal dates and reporting requirements. 
·         Coordinate provider assignments for district-based services. 
·         Identify opportunities for expansion of educational partnerships.
 
Program Development
 
·         Assist in developing NJPNI's Learning & School Success Program. 
·         Create educational resources for families and providers. 
·         Develop standardized workflows for educational support services. 
·         Identify opportunities to expand educational advocacy and school support programs.
 
Documentation & Reporting
·         Maintain detailed documentation of educational support activities. 
·         Track patient engagement and outcomes. 
·         Prepare reports related to Board of Education contracts and program performance. 
·         Monitor educational service metrics and program effectiveness. 
·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·         One of the following are required: 
o   Masters Degree in Education
o   Masters Degree in Special Education
o   Masters Degree in Educational Leadership
o   Learning Disabilities Teacher- Consultant (LDTC)
 
Knowledge and Skills
 
·         Strong understanding of special education law and regulations.
·         Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
·         Ability to build relationships with families, school districts, and providers.
·         Strong organizational and project management skills.
·         Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
·         Excellent written documentation skills.
 
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Standard office environment within a medical practice.
  • Frequent use of computers and telephones.
  • Occasional lifting of files, office supplies, or equipment (up to 20 lbs).
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
